20 million dinars for the procurement of video surveillance

Contracts for the procurement of video surveillance for connecting with the monitoring room have been presented today in the AP Vojvodina Assembly. Within a pilot project of the Provincial Government, the total of 20 million dinars have been earmarked for this purpose, out of which 13 million dinars for the primary education level and seven million dinars for the secondary education level respectively. Deputy Provincial Secretary Slađana Bursać presented 13 contracts today to the school representatives.
“This is the first pilot project of this kind in the territory of the AP Vojvodina, which aims at creating a network, i.e. connecting educational institutions with the representatives of the local self-government units, which will equip the monitoring rooms in the police. Stara Pazova and Temerin are the first two municipalities participating in this project, while other local self-government units will also join the project in the coming period. The ultimate goal of this pilot project is that every child grows up in a safe and stimulating environment, respecting the rights of a child to protection from all aspects of violence, in line with the National Strategy for the Prevention and Protection of Children from Violence”. – said Deputy Provincial Secretary Slađana Bursać.
In order to promote and improve students’ safety in primary and secondary education institutions in the territory of the AP Vojvodina, 42 institutions answered the call for proposal, out of which, 13 met the requirements prescribed by the Rulebook.
