Additional 10 Million Dinars for 80 Projects Strengthening Multiculturalism and Interethnic Cooperation in Vojvodina

Vice -President of the Provincial Government and Provincial Secretary, Ótott Róbert , officially presented the decisions to associations that successfully applied in the second cycle of the call for proposals of the Provincial Secretariat for Education, Regulations, Administration and National Minorities – National Communities for co-financing programmes and projects aimed at preserving and fostering multiculturalism and interethnic tolerance in the territory of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina.

Following the budget revision, the additional 10 million dinars have were allocated for the second cycle of the call for proposals, where the total funds dedicated to this area in 2025 reached 29 million dinars, which is twice as much as the previous year. A total of 314 projects were supported in two cycles of the call for proposals this year.

"Vojvodina is a place where diversity is not an obstacle, but represents richness. It is a place where, over the centuries, the cultures, languages, traditions and customs of numerous peoples and national communities have met, and it is precisely from this mosaic of diversity that we draw the strength of our shared identity," said Ótott Róbert, while addressing the audience.

The supported programmes cover a wide range of activities — from preserving languages, folk customs and traditional crafts, to protecting and showcasing folklore heritage, as well as artistic, literary and media creations that promote tolerance and mutual respect among peoples. Special recognition was given to initiatives that involve young people, as the key bearers of the future of cohabitation in the spirit of understanding and respect.

"We are proud that this year we have supported more than 300 projects that connect people and preserve the richness of diversity. In this way we prove that multiculturalism is not only our tradition, but also our way of life,” emphasised Vice-President of the Provincial Government and Provincial Secretary, Ótott Róbert.

He expressed his gratitude to the representatives of the associations for their effort and dedication in preserving cultural diversity and stressed that the Provincial Government would continue to support all programmes that contribute to strengthening the spirit of togetherness, tolerance and cooperation among the peoples and national communities in Vojvodina.
