President of the Provincial Government Maja Gojković handed over today contracts worth 100 million dinars for the reconstruction, adaptation, renovation, investment and regular maintenance of buildings of 20 primary education institutions in AP Vojvodina for 2025.

President Gojković emphasised that this programme represents one of the most significant forms of joint investment in the future – in pupils, teachers, and the communities themselves.

“Investing in school buildings and infrastructure means improving the lives of entire communities. These are not just material resources – they are an expression of our care for children, their environment, and the quality of education”, said the President.

President Gojković highlighted that the Provincial Government, in cooperation with local self-governments, has been investing in educational infrastructure for years, with the goal of ensuring that every child in the AP Vojvodina has equal and good conditions for their education.

“Three months ago, in the previous call for proposals, we allocated 375 million dinars for institutions of primary and secondary education, as well as for student accommodation institutions, which means that in 2025 a total of 475 million dinars has been allocated for 84 institutions. I hope that next year we will continue this trend of increasing funds for the adaptation and reconstruction of schools throughout our province,” the president said, reminding that, in the period from 2020 to 2024, almost two billion dinars were allocated from the provincial budget for investments that included construction works, the preparation of project and technical documentation, and the furnishing of newly constructed buildings.

Vice-President of the Provincial Government and the Provincial Secretary for Education, Regulations, Administration and National Minorities- National Communities Róbert Ótott stated that today’s awarding of contracts represents the continuation of a sound and thoughtful policy – a policy that considers education as an investment in the foundation of society.
